WITH THE DEVIL IN CHARGE…THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY… What happens when a struggling actress and a grieving widower come together in a night of unbridled debauchery orchestrated by a bored and machinating rake?
She’s a lonely lady down on her luck…Phoebe Scott, alias Kitty Willis, is a struggling Covent Garden actress with a bruised heart and a closely guarded secret.
He’s steadfast and eminently respectableSir Edward Chambers, Ned to his intimates, is guilt-ridden over his beloved wife’s death and avowed to live out a rustic and mundane life … of celibacy.
With the devil in charge — there will surely be hell to pay. Devil in disguise, Viscount Ludovic DeVere, is determined to return his best friend, Ned, to the land of the living. His meddling machinations result in a night of mind blowing passion after which “dull dog Ned” awakes to find himself in the King of England’s bed!
A WILD NIGHT’S BRIDE, a sexy, rollicking Georgian romp!

→ Opinion | Fun, sexy, clever! Those are the three words I would use to describe this book! The plot is terrific, the adventurous romance Victoria Vane presents is fun without forgetting to be deliciously erotic and fascinating.
Phoebe, Ned, and DeVere were fantastic – I loved the chemistry between them! All characters were very interesting, including Vesta and Diana who are next in The Devil DeVere installments, and the historical references were greatly appreciated.
I was a little reluctant towards Phoebe’s plans cause I didn’t feel how important acting really was for her and how lightly she accepted the “easy” path. She could have pondered and considered her other options before we saw her readily taking the part as a courtesan. Maybe she wouldn’t be able to go very far with her plan if it wasn’t for Ned, it left me curious to know more about her thoughts anyway. But because of her, I was glad that Ned could finally be himself by the end of the book!
The story also lacked some physical description, which is imperative for erotic romances in my opinion – I like to create their image in my mind as well as knowing their actions and feelings. I understand others appreciate having the liberty to picture the main characters their own way.
I wish the experience I had with this book would never end, and it definitely left me wanting more. I was extremely happy and I believe this title fulfilled all my expectations – Victoria outdone herself, splendid well done. She knows her story and develops well-drawn characters to support her new series - starting with DeVere, a rogue that doesn’t miss an opportunity to enjoy life to its fullest. He will, without a doubt, be a very versatile and charming character with no lack of opportunities to grow into one of my most beloved heroes. He intrigues me!

Great review! This sounds like a really good read. I already have it on my TBR. Is it a menage story?

Hi Tina!
It is not menage. While I write scorching HOT romance, it is strictly M/F with no true erotika elements such as menage, BDSM etc.
