Thanks for the review…I’ve heard mixed things about this book so I’m not really surprised you didn’t like it as much as the first book.

It’s true, some people love it thinking it’s like the older JQ novels, other think she’s gone a bit dark with this one or that she lost her way. I simply didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually do! But I gess you’d have to read and see for yourself
Then, of course, let me know your thoughts about it!

Meh sorry you were disappointed by this one. Julia Quinn’s novels are usually brilliant but I’ve found a few that’ve fallen flat too. Thanks for your thoughtful review (:

I just loved the Bridgerton novels; the scenes with the Smith-Smythe musicales always made me smile. I think I’ll still give this one a try. I’ve been reading a lot of YA lately, but sometimes I miss historical romance. I think its time to switch it up again.
