I met my husband on yahoo personals. I had recently moved from Maine to New Hampshire to be closer to my family. I was to the point in my life where i did not think i would get married and have children. I was happy with my life but looking to meet new people. Our first meeting i went to his house and we took his dog for a walk. He never kissed me til our 7th or 8th date, definitely not what i was used to. Anyway we have been married 8 1/2 years and we have two sweet little girls 5 and 8. My husband is a stay at home Dad, he takes awesome care of all of us. kim

My HEA isn’t a romance. My happily ever after is having a son. I was told when I was 16 that I wouldn’t be able to have children without help. Then, when I was 20 I got pregnant without help but I had severe pre-eclampsia and my daughter was born early and she didn’t survive the trauma of simply living. Then, I tried for 8 years with my first husband trying to have another child but nothing worked. Then, after telling my now wonderful husband that we wouldn’t be able to have children I got pregnant. I had a miscarriage with that pregnancy and I didn’t want to try again. All the angst of trying to have a child was just too nerve wracking. I talked to my OB and because of clotting issues I am not able to take any kind of birth control and he wasn’t willing to tie my tubes because I was distraught at the time. Well 2 months later I was pregnant again and with the help of blood thinners I was able to carry my son for 8 out of 9 months and he was born strong and healthy. He is the only child I will be able to have because I had to have a hysterectomy because of health issues but he is my little miracle. They were amazed I could even carry him. Sorry, this was so long but I wanted to share my HEA and that is it. He makes me smile every day.
Thanks for the hop and the giveaway.

My happy ending started 15 years ago. It was my first Christmas Eve with my boyfriend and we were on our way to my parents house after spending the day at his parents house.
He stopped at a gas station just off the freeway and went inside (which was odd – since we almost always pay at the pump). He came back with a red rose from the gas station and got down on one knee in his truck (since we live in Michigan and it is freezing cold outside at Christmas) and proposed to me.
It was the best day of the year for me! The day before my offer on my first house was accepted and I didn’t think things could get better – but they did. 15 years later he is still the love of my life – we are in our third house now (though I hate moving) and have a beautiful 6 year old daughter!

Many years ago I used to pick my best friend up from work everyday. She didn’t drive & I worked just down the street from her work. I would sit in my truck and wait in the parking lot for her to get out. As I sat there everyday I would watch this really cute guy walk out of her office and go across the street to the mailbox. Everyday I made sure I was there early enough to watch him. After a few months of watching this guy, my friend & I were bored and decided to call people to get together. She was talking to this guy on the phone & I grabbed the phone from her & flirted with the guy. Everyone was busy. A few weeks later I decided to make my big move on the mailbox guy. I whistled at him as he walked across the parking lot. He asked my friend for my number, turns out he was the guy on the phone I flirted with. 23 years, 4 kids, & a big house later we are still together!

I live my Happy Ever After… Married to my bestfriend and high school sweetheart for going on 10 years and together for going on 14…
However Hubby and I only had one child for a number of years and lost 4… We were told my many doctors I didn’t carry well and we should stop trying and be happy with our one child… Needless to say Easter 2009 I found out I was expecting… I had a rough time and ended up on bed rest on and off I having my labor stopped 4 times starting at 24 weeks and bleeding off and of thoughout… So I am fully blessed to have my two boys Davey 9 and Jonathan 3 both my angel babies as much as I would love another child i am not pushing my luck and just being happy with the two beautiful boys I have and the best hubby in the world.

I am a sucker for the Happily Ever After. Romance books almost always have the HEA and I love them because of it. I especially like the PNR books with hot sexy alpha heroes and kick-ass heroines. My favorite paranormal author is hands down… Shelly Laurenston/G. A. Aiken. All her books have humor, characters you can really like, HOT sex and a HEA.

My happy ending happened in 1969 when my boyfriend who was in the Navy during Vietnam found out he was finally going to be off sea duty and asked me to marry him! 4 months later we were married and this year on February 4th we celebrated our 42nd anniversary!
After he was released and joined the Navy Reserves and served on helicopters and then P-3′s before retiring after being a “week-end warrior” but being on active duty and participating in both the first first war in Iraq as well as many other missions before finally retiring. Each and every time he came home was another “happily ever after moment” for me and our 2 wonderful sons (and also our grandchildren!).

So many books that I have read that have an ending that I just adore, but I feel mine is the best by far. Hubs and I will be celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary this year. We hail from different parts of the county. I’m a little bit rock n’ roll and he’s country. I’m considered a Yankee and he’s from the land of Dixie. I only knew he three months when I asked him to marry me. We were married after knowing each other only six months. All the years later, we’re still going strong!

My HEA is my husband. He lets me drag him to all kinds of things. We did hula dancing, crystal mining, ride trip going to Roswell New Mexico. He does the landuary and will cook. Don’t I have a super sweet guy, uh huh, yes I do. And we’ve been married for 22 years. I am really enjoying this Happy Ending Blog. roya-clan@sbcglobal.net

My HEA would be to find someone who could love me just the way I am and wouldn’t care that I’m asexual.

My HEA moment is going to be when the hubby and I will have our own home with our children. No worries about landlords! I hate that.
